Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) – Founded in 2009, PLAC is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit capacity building organisation that works to strengthen democratic governance and citizens’ participation in Nigeria.

Applications are invited for:

Title: Legislative Internship Programme 2026

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Duration of Internship: May 2026 – July 2026 (10 weeks full-time)

Internship Requirements
Qualifications:

At least a First Degree in any discipline from a Tertiary Institution.
Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme.
Nigerian citizens between 21 and 35 years of age.
Good English writing and speaking skills.
Good computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Benefits
Logistics:

Only stipends to cover transportation and lunch costs within Abuja will be provided.
Other logistics expenses will be borne by the interns.
It is advised that prospective interns be able to reside within Abuja or bear the cost of residing in Abuja throughout the duration of the internship, as PLAC will not provide accommodation nor relocation.

Include a “Statement of Purpose” on the last page of your CV, explaining why you wish to participate in the internship.
Your CV should not exceed two (2) pages, and the Statement of Purpose should be no more than 300 words; both must be combined and uploaded as a single document, with the total length not exceeding three (3) pages.
Please note that you will also be required to copy and paste your Statement of Purpose into the online application form.
