Job Title: Institutional Capacity Building Consultant

Location: Maiduguri, Borno

About the Role
TBSF seeks a qualified institutional capacity-building consultant to strengthen organizational capacity in the areas of:
Core Areas – Financial Management & Compliance:

Key Focus – EFCC & FIRS compliance, financial systems strengthening, and financial management
Target Teams – Finance, Procurement, and Compliance Teams

Core Areas – Leadership & Governance:

Key Focus – Institutional leadership, Board governance, and management systems
Target Teams – Senior Management and Board of Trustees

Core Areas – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL):

Key Focus – Results-based monitoring, data management and reporting, learning systems, accountability mechanisms, and program performance tracking
Target Teams – MEAL Team, Program Teams, and Project Managers

Key Focus – Fundraising strategy, donor engagement, proposal development, partnership building, and sustainability planning

Reason for Recruitment

The primary purpose of this consultancy is to build and enhance the institutional capacity of TBSF through targeted training programs, policy development, and strategic guidance that will strengthen organizational systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve operational effectiveness.
TBSF seeks to engage a qualified Institutional Capacity Building Consultant to provide comprehensive training, policy development, and strategic guidance across three critical areas which include; Financial Management and Compliance, Resource mobilization, and Leadership Development.

Qualification and experience of the service provider

The consulting firm or individual must provide evidence of expertise in the area of organization capacity development.
During and after the assignment, the Consulting firm is prohibited from revealing or permitting the revelation of any proprietary or consultancy-related information without obtaining written consent beforehand.
Any materials and documents created by the consultants for the assignment will be considered the property of TBSF in terms of proprietary interests.

Lead consultants:

The lead expert shall hold a Master of Business Administration, Strategic Planning, or Finance
At least 6 years in handling similar projects in international, National private or public sector.
Strategic Management.
A certification will be an asset.
Expertise in Nigerian regulatory environment (NIRS requirements)

Team members:

The consulting firm must have team members with expertise in Resource mobilization, branding, financial compliance and Understanding of Nigerian compliance and regulatory frameworks.
Teams’ members must carry at least an MBA or any others university degree. They must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the area of Organizational Capacity Development or Strategic Management Planning.
