Our impact-driven sustainability programmes focus on making cultivation more sustainable and climate-resilient, protecting biodiversity and improving the livelihoods of farmers and their families.
Beyond Beans is based the Netherlands and has operations in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Ecuador, Cameroon and Togo. We provide more than 100,000 rural farmer households with training on agroforestry practices and regenerative agriculture, improved seedlings, help on income diversification, and cash premiums. Our multidisciplinary team of specialists, experts, and field staff have experience in topics such as climate-smart agroforestry, community development, and promoting gender equity.

Job Title: Community Development Supervisor

The Job
- We are looking for a Community Development Supervisor to support and coordinate community-based initiatives, strengthen relationships with local stakeholders, and ensure effective implementation of development activities.
- The role will focus on supervising field teams, promoting community participation, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved while contributing to the sustainable growth and social impact of the organisation.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing CLMT surveys and the verification of identified cases of child labour in our supply chain.
- Responsible for the validation of data responses and review of survey questions based on field feedback.
- Monitoring and reviewing of incoming data on quality, both in online digital environments as well as in external software
- Organising and managing large data sets for the purpose of internal and external reporting on set indicators, as well as making basic analyses
- Supervising the CLMRS team for the timely and appropriate execution of CLMRS implementation
- Facilitating child labour and protection training and community awareness sessions.
- Facilitating training of VSLA modules to newly established groups, monitoring and collection of data from established VSLAs.
- Reporting all Community Development activities (CLMT surveys, remediation, VSLAs, CNA/CAP, Mergdata technical issues, IGAs, WASH activities, Literacy programming, among others) to the Community Development Project Manager, including the collected data.
- Supporting the training of child labour liaison officers in the Assess and Address Committee.
- Working together with other field officers, including assistance, coaching, any other (CERT+) projects, or other relevant activities.
- Regular field visits and activities monitoring.
- Serving as the first point of contact for the CLMRS field team
- Carrying out any other duties as directed by the Comdev Project Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- A good University Degree in Agricultural Science, Social Sciences, Social Work, Humanities, Education, or other related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in handling social issues.
- Computer-literate and able to use basic digital data collection tools and applications.
- Must be observant and have good reporting skills.
- A well-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented person.
- An excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skill.
- Ability to work productively, with minimum supervision and under pressure.
- Willing to Learn; Flexible and passionate about social issues affecting children.
- Ability to understand and accept diversity (Cultural/Religious).
