We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Vocational Trainer – SDGs, Climate Change & Solar Installation

Location: Jibowu, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Description

  • We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Vocational Trainer to deliver impactful training programs on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Climate Change, and Basic Solar Installation to individuals and communities nationwide.
  • This is a contract role requiring willingness to travel across Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging training sessions on SDGs, climate change awareness, and basic solar installation
  • Develop and adapt training materials to suit diverse community audiences
  • Travel to communities, schools, and partner locations across Nigeria to deliver programs
  • Track and report on participant progress and training outcomes
  • Support the team in designing new curriculum and program improvements
  • Represent Solardero Foundation professionally in all community engagements

Skills & Requirements

  • Education: HND or equivalent; a background in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Education, or related field is an added advantage
  • Experience: 2–5 years in training, facilitation, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate change concepts
  • Basic understanding of solar energy systems and installation
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience in community training, adult education, or vocational instruction
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Nigeria
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and mission-driven
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local Nigerian languages is an advantage.

Remuneration
Competitive contract rate, based on experience.
