About the Role
The UNDP Innovation team is seeking a dynamic and motivated Data Collection and Communication Intern to support the Generation17 initiative and the UNDP x Samsung partnership. This remote internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global development, youth leadership, and digital communications within the UN system.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to the growth and visibility of our innovation initiatives through the following tasks:
- Operational Support: Assist with application calls, develop forms, and manage data collection and organization.
- Content Development: Create compelling communication materials in English and provide translation support (Spanish/French) as required.
- Reporting: Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations and Excel-based reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Engagement: Support the production of the Monthly Opportunities Digest for young global leaders.
- Digital Presence: Assist in updating the Generation17 website and gathering multimedia assets (videos, blogs, and stories) for the Samsung Global Goals App.
- Social Media: Develop creative social media content and visual materials to boost project engagement.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- Have graduated with a university degree as defined above and must start the internship within one year of graduation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Communication: Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills in English.
- Digital Savvy: Proven ability to create engaging digital and social media content.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Spanish or French is considered a strong asset.
