The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Technical Assistant, Monitoring & Evaluation to provide technical and strategic information leadership within the Anambra Cluster. The successful candidate will ensure that all project indicators are accurately tracked, validated, and reported in alignment with Global Fund (GF) and project-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Information Leadership: Follow up with M&E specialists to collate cluster data and ensure monitoring activities meet donor needs.
  • Data Management & Analysis: Support the design and management of IHVN data software; perform basic validation checks and ensure data integrity.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct routine reviews and Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) using official tools; provide supportive supervision to facility staff.
  • Technical Support: Ensure adherence to GF SI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and build capacity of facility technical and SI staff.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly reports, document lessons learned, and participate in stakeholder meetings to track GF deliverables.
  • Source Documentation: Prepare, sort, and interpret source documents while identifying and resolving inconsistencies at the originator level.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Education: B.Tech, B.Sc, or HND in Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Project Management, or Demography.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience in monitoring and evaluation systems, preferably within Global Health Initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and data visualization. Knowledge of DHIS, NDAR, and NMRS is highly desirable.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the Global Fund (GF) reporting system is a significant advantage.
  • Competencies: Strong analytical thinking, excellent written and verbal communication in English, and the ability to work cohesively in multicultural, high-pressure environments.
